It’s all very strange. In my estimation we only get to see about 45 minutes of football anyway. All our home games seem to follow a similar path. If we are losing or drawing at half time Mellon gives it ten minute's and then brings on forwards to try for an equaliser or to get a lead.
If the opposition have a lead they start hoofing and begin faking injuries to waste time. We are already hoofing because Mellon believes it’s the most likely way we will score. I think that’s why Mellon signed Quigley not for his prolific goal scoring record (ha ha) but to win headers and flick-ons when the balls booted up to him. Maybe Drummond was bought to run off him and start firing in the goals.😂
Anyway, the balls in the air most of the time, if it’s not in the air it’s on the stand roof or in touch, and if its none of those it’s on the pitch waiting to be taken for one of the many free kicks caused by the ball coming down with snow on it after two players have challenged for the high ball in the first place and clashed heads. 😖 It can be throughly depressing watching for a full 90 minutes sometimes.
So, it’s the bottom of the league on Saturday, can anyone envisage a footballing classic coming our way this weekend. 🤪
