For me, there was no difference between todays performance and a non-league performance, and we have become the long ball kings and the Gills did a job on us.
1/ We totally avoid playing football in the middle of the park, no person to deliver great passes, no one-two's, no imaginative play which means strikers feed on scraps.
2/Fondop is not the most graceful footballer ever but he is the most effective player at oafc...FACT and the stats tell us so, and when he returns we should be getting him into game, put the onus back on him and watch him step up to the plate again like he did last season when others went missing.
Good managers build their team around the most effective players and get the ball to them as quickly as possible, but Mellon likes to drop his top scorer at the earliest opportunity, so now we have Quigley that has scored 1 goal in 40, and Drummond that hasn't scored for...well you tell me.
