Fondop will do okay with better service and a decent striker to play alongside. Forwards are always the last position that Mellon addresses after midfielders and defenders which shows he’s more interested in not losing than winning. He might want to win every game but he doesn’t give the players the best chance to do so in my opinion.
Fondop hasn’t scored since the Halifax game, but he was very unlucky at Wembley not to have a couple.
Another two quality forwards and a couple of the injured better players coming back and we could be okay. Until the couple that Mellon brings in and until they’re fit we won’t know for sure. I’m not convinced with Mellon yet though.
I’m now looking forward to Saturday to see the formation he decides on.
