Fondop’s stock would never have been higher than this summer yet we didn’t appear to have any competition for his signature.

We are aiming for EFL1 asap, and although unlikely, if we were to get there by the end of this season Fondop wouldn’t be anywhere near good enough to step up!!

A 1 year deal would have been sufficient because we should be recruiting players good enough to play higher. I would be more than happy with Fondop on the bench but we need a better 1st choice striker to be able to compete in this league and certainly the one above!

I would try and ship out Waters & Harratt on loan and assess the severity of yet another injury to Garner and maybe come to some sort of mutual decision around his puzzling 6 month contract!

We just don’t look like scoring goals and my preference would be to bring in two strikers!
