I don’t think you are far off there BBKO - lower mid-table for me. Could all change with a few superb acquisitions.

Talking about expectations - unfortunately, I would take a draw at MK Dons tomorrow all day long right now, as I expect us to get beaten. They’ve got a good manager, bought well and got some strong forwards. Would be delighted to be proven wrong but this is as tough an opening fixture as we could have been given.

I remember we had an opening game away at Southend a few seasons ago and was full of early season optimism, new manager (Unsworth), new squad - playing against a club that had barely survived the summer and had put together a threadbare squad at the last minute from the players still available. Expected us to win that day - what happened, we got spanked!

So hoping for a result tomorrow and the morale boost that that would provide - but going to be a hard game.
