Do you think that a keeper has to get the ball if he comes out ? If he doesn't get the ball it's usually a goal .he was never getting that and it cost us .a blunder as others have said. Not interested I opinion on wether hes the best.i and others judging that situation. Just what would have happened if he sat on a chair in the goal line ?. He would have picked it up.
