My personal DVD copy of "Detour" was the one from Wade Williams. The scene in which Al and Vera argue about their plans and the meaning of life suffers from a fluttering image. For a long time, I also suspected that the scene was edited (possibly for time and added commercials) and the original sequence must have played longer.
When I watched the scene on television today it did seem as if the quarrel played a bit longer than my DVD version. I have not seen the restored version of "Detour" and I wanted to ask if this particular dialogue driven scene played longer than my copy.
