Cineanalyst is confused by Cookson’s pronounced negative reaction to being offered a fiasco of Chianti by Anne Gwynne. The reason for this is that there was exactly such a bottle on the professor’s work table when Cookson visits him the second time, and the bottle and the red wine are visually very prominent in that scene.
