From my recollection, there was some talk about The Whistler at one point. Alan did an interview with Richard Dix's son (the venue escapes me...it might have been Palm Springs) which wound up on the 4-disk blu-ray set from Britain containing all eight Whistler films (released back in May).

I think Eddie simply had a different idea for the "B" noirs in those series.

IIRC Elliot Lavine showed two or three Whistler movies in 2012 in one of his noir shows at the Roxie.

If the FNF were ever to consider an overnight marathon (highly unlikely at this point), the Whistler films would be a fun choice to include in that lineup. Maybe two at a time, starting after the second feature on a Saturday evening, with another "spooky noir" sandwiched in between each duo for a change of pace.

Maybe six of the eight Whistler films, like so:

2 Whistlers + change of pace + 2 Whistlers + change of pace + 2 Whistlers

They could charge $25 for the marathon, $50 if you wanted to have breakfast the next morning.
