The "optimum" double bill for Eddie to be doing the same with the NOIR BAR book would be to tandemize THE BIG CLOCK with I WALK ALONE, two films with some pronounced emphasis on bars and nightlife.
The only other wrinkle is the inclusion of CHICAGO DEADLINE, which is an appropriate title for the Music Box but is a film from '49--that takes it out of the running to be the "Chicago entry" for next year's festival, which is likely to continue with the "75th anniversary" organizing principle. (This year's lineup already has a "Chicago film" with the inclusion of CALL NORTHSIDE 777.)
