Actually, I generally enjoy Kate Winslet. My complaint about "Mare of Easttown" was that the scripts for the final few episodes were a muddle.

As for Cate Blanchett being passed over (there's a Bob Hope Academy Award joke reference for oldsters), so be it. Her performance was largely based upon costuming, a hairstyle and an attitude. Helen Walker played the role better.
