I'm sure the film could get a bump if it gets some Oscar nominations, but I don't see a Best Picture nod, quite frankly, even in a very weak year. David Straitharn maybe? Certainly design, costume, sound, cinematography, but the majors? Perhaps only Best Picture because they now mandate 10 selections. Perhaps Cate Blanchett in Best Supporting Actress but I liked her better in Don't Look Up, which is still running as my own favorite film of the year.

I do like what the Screen On The Green in Islington, UK did. I'm presuming this is for the new version since Kim Morgan posted it on her Facebook page. Hey, maybe they can start showing Nightmare Alley at actual carnivals ... step right up!
