The Castro has been selectively open for business since theaters came back in early summer '21, but they've picked/chosen which events to green-light during this timeframe.
Frameline had a small series at the Castro in November, but there is nothing at their site indicating any more events there in 2022.
The SF Film Festival has used many venues as satellite locations, including the Castro, the Roxie and the Victoria over in that general "neck of the woods," and I suppose it's possible that there will be a few events held there in April, but this announcement would seem to leave that uncertain.
What is still listed as a Castro event is the Silent Film Festival--scheduled for early May.
I would suspect a revised rental rate for film events at the "New Castro" will force a noticeable increase in ticket prices. The Passport used to be a very good deal, but those days would appear to be over.
