It's not a stretch to posit the notion that The Argyle Secrets is probably the weakest film that the FNF has restored. However, I'm all for restoring and saving any part of film history, noir, comedy, western or whatever, even an old Mary Pickford film.
Total agreement about Gargan. NIGHT EDITOR is damn fine, but could have been near great with another male lead like Edmond O'Brien.
