I've never seen such an array of (post-) modern fits - most of them truly "eggshells with hammers", as the saying went. Especially that GAU-(x) gattling gun - he who shoots first, just devastates! |
Those SAM launchers confuse me, though. The Stinger is just a little bitty, shoulder-launched missile (right?) - so why would its launchers be so much larger than for a (normally aircraft-carried) Hellfire or (vehicle-mounted) TOW? More protection for the rounds, perhaps?
Speaking of which, that "hillbilly armor" (in addition to being hilarious) is also very interesting - I'm assuming it's just a lattice of bars - which I guess would be perfectly effective against anything that wasn't seriously armor-piercing. Very easy to make out of PE, in a smaller scale - but your LAV is 1:35 (right?) - I'll be very interested to see how you do it. (First thing that comes to my mind - absent beefy, dedicated PE for it - is that old 400-scale plastic railing that Heller used to include with their ships. Also, there may be one or more possibilities in Pastruct/Evergreen railroad-scale stock.)
Good stuff (even if it is armor ) - keep it comin', Donny!
