I do hope so because as they've bow been proven to have broken the rules to such a degree, essentially fraudulently, not only to have gained a significant sporting advantage but also guilty of criminal activity. They should have the bottle to relegated then to tier 8.
They surely can't get away without any relegation at all.

It’s still under appeal. If that ends up with a continued guilty finding I’m not convinced the punishment will fit the crime. The PL have made a point but won’t have the stomach for much else. No -30 for citeh.
Ordinarily I'd agree. But the language the Prem is using is brutal
'Sham', 'systematically broke rules', 'deliberate or reckless conduct intended to circumvent the Premier League rules'
That's pretty strong stuff. I think they're fucked. You're right, there won't be -30. They might well be getting relegated to League 2 at the end of the season and they'll have to play out this season knowing that
Another thing that makes me think the Prem might throw the book at them is they want to show teeth to the incoming regulator and say to them 'look, we can regulate ourselves'
UEFA will probably ban them from Europe too, although that might not be a problem for them for a few years
The appeal is the unknown and that could go against the Prem but with the time taken on this and the lawyers they have, I'd be amazed if there has been any significant errors there
If the appeal, largely or fully, fails, their punishment is going to be severe
Yes, certainly sounds like some of this is criminal behaviour.
Might be a diplomatic tightrope for the UK, I guess, but surely we should prosecute anybody for a crime? And, surely, this would mean the end of state-backed football club owners. Newcastle would be an interesting case if that happens.
What I don't understand is why they did it? Surely they had enough resources to grow Man City organically, fairly but still pretty quickly
Yes that correct. I thought I'd use that one today instead of Farrige, Lib Dumbs, Daily Fail, Grauniad. Just for some variety of course as some of the others have appeared numerous times very recently.
