Clubs can spend 50% of turnover on player and manager wages next season (down from 60% this season, manager wages weren’t previously included). Leicester, Sheff Wed and Oxford will be able to spend 65% as clubs relegated from the championship. We can also spend 50% of any owner equity investment (again, figure is 65% for relegated clubs).

We are going to need to move a lot of players on. Think our attendance was about 10th highest last season, will be similar this season if Bolton join Cardiff in going up, with Leicester and Sheff Wed coming down. Shows why Power Court is so important for the long term.

It’s absolutely ridiculous that all four professional leagues have different rules.

I think ELH said we could potentially include some of our profit from previous years in our turnover calculation?

If we can't, I don't think we can comply with those rules without equity being poured in. Our turnover without parachute payments is probably between £10-15m.

Our wage bill two seasons ago was top 6 in the Championship. I don't see how we get that down to £5m - 7.5m in 24 months. Our wage bill during 18/19 was 7.8m!

I expect Keeley will be sold. We're probably looking at a return to a model where we sell our most valuable young player each year to balance the books. Keeley this summer, Richards or Johnson next year etc.

It served us well on our way up a few years ago, Gray, McGeehan, Vassell, JJ.

Do you think we’d make a profit on Keeley at this stage? I doubt it. Hopefully we can get our money back on Alli and sell Nordas and Makosso to European clubs. Maybe those bizarre Sandal to Leeds rumours will be true as well!
