    VAR yes or no

I think it could be good works in other sports.
While it is refs policing refs its not good you need an ex player who understands the game, not just the rules, alongside. Goal line technology has worked well.

Get rid of it, one of the main reason elite football is now unwatchable.

Flat no. Waste of money, waste of time. You think ex-players will stop controversial/wrong decisions? No chance.
And that’s the point. The more people are involved in refereeing refs, the more convoluted, tedious and time-consuming the game gets.
Just get on with the game, and grow the fuck up if a ref gets it wrong (while abusing them all game long at the ground, obviously.)

Get rid of it. An experiment that has failed at every level.

            Modern football is rubbish

Should be time limit if they can't reach decisions within two minutes Should go back to the original on field call

I'd go further than that - "clear and obvious" shouldn't even take 2 minutes. Plus, it should be a very specific thing to look at, rather than checking 2 or 3 things.

Give teams a limited number of challenges, like in cricket or tennis. They have to specify why they are challenging, and the VAR can only look at that part. The VAR gets 30 seconds, maybe a minute at most to decide. If they aren't sure, then it's like "umpire's call" in cricket - the decision stands, but the team doesn't lose a review.

Agreed, but also use it for cuddles and shirt pulling. Book on every occasion, so it doesn't ruin the game.
