That is not true, I have worked with young adults with racist views, that have completely changed their outlook after inclusivity education. Bring compassion back.
He is 20yrs old..should know by now right from wrong..would have had some sort of inclusivity/ anti racist lessons at school..wasting more time and money a waste
Lot of assumptions there Ampthill Fan mate. You might be right but I think more education following his guilty verdict is a good idea. He might have had a chaotic upbringing where the normal things we would expect simply didn't happen.outlaws is not the barometer of sanity. You're either Luton full tilt or you are nothing. The end.
Yeah I think you have to try first with these people and then if they still don't change fair enough to criticise at that point, but not before at least trying. He doesn't look like the brightest person on earth in the photo and if I recall correctly he wasn't even at the game. Just thought he'd give it the big man from home. It's good it's been taken seriously but the broader issue is massive and will take a fuck tonne of effort to address.outlaws is not the barometer of sanity. People are not born racist, pretty much all racists have personality problems, that if addressed especially when young can make a big difference.
Although we are going through a spike in these sort of incidents most of them on line, people are far more tolerant than they used to be.
Education from an early age and good role models at home and those in the public eye.
Unfortunately the latter is not helping the situaation at the moment the language used by some is encouraging the haters without a doubt. Bring compassion back.
As previously mentioned on here I try to treat everyone the same, ie simply as a human, regardless of their appearance. I also try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt while I am getting to know them. My main concern is whether or not someone is one or more of the following
Physically violent Verbally aggressive Obnoxious/ inconsiderate Antagonistic Willfully ignorant Unwilling to discuss things
If any of these occur I will then check if they have any kind of special needs. By this I mean a recognised condition that might mean I need to give them more allowance than 'normal' people. I'm probably wording this badly, but I mean some genuine type of mental impairment.
If they don't have a genuine mental impairment but they do behave as in the list above then I reserve the right to criticise them, regardless of whatever category or group that they might be in or identify as being in. Not necessarily there and then as it's probably more important to deescalate a situation as much as possible if violence or any other kind of abusive behaviour is occurring, but certainly once the initial threat has subsided.
If any physical violence or verbally aggressive behaviour is due to genuine self defence then that would be permissable in my opinion so long as it's proportionate. This is probably the most contentious area where different people will have different opinions about what should be considered proportionate. Hence the need to be able to discuss things. I don't think you can ever avoid dialogue if you genuinely want to increase the likelihood of peace and safety, but if the dialogue goes nowhere and the individual or group continues to be physically violent or verbally aggressive then self defence is ok at that point in my opinion.
That's basically how I navigate through life. I imagine some people will disagree but that is their right to disagree and I would happily discuss this with them.outlaws is not the barometer of sanity. You're either Luton full tilt or you are nothing. The end.
I like to take the piss a lot as well, but I'm only teasing when I do that. Life would be very dull without piss taking. Having a sense of humour is a sign of being in good mental health in my opinion.outlaws is not the barometer of sanity. You're either Luton full tilt or you are nothing. The end.
