Show some ambition lads. Get that mentality back. We are Luton. We're not fucking Barcelona or Bayern Munich, granted. But we're not fucking Rotherham or fucking Port Vale. Come on.

I've just watched the LTST video with Sweet and then the one with Wilshere.

Not completely convinced with GS's reasoning regarding recruitment, HOWEVER, did feel he really does care. I just think some of the recruitment decisions need to be acknowledged as being below par.

Anyway, onto JW. Loved his interview. He does have something about him. And as a pro he's clearly seeing merits in players that I don't appreciate as a non pro. I am hopeful we might see improvement in some players now due to better coaching now that JW, CP and the other new blokes are involved. That's been a bugbear of mine for too long, not seeing players that join us noticably improving over time.

Odoffin today was encouraging even if he was only on for a few minutes. He's already got us 2 points. I still say we need a clinical striker to compliment our attacking threat. Dunno if AAH is going to be enough. Need to see about that before Jan window really and if he doesn't look enough then we should go and get someone properly decent.

Unbelievable we're only 7 points off the top after what has felt like a car crash of a start. But just shows a small tweak could make all the difference.

In terms of recruitment, GS did say that “we don’t always get it right” and players are judged more at the point they leave the club as to whether they have been a “good” signing. It may be fair to say that we’ve got it wrong too often in recent times and hopefully (privately) this is being recognised and actions will be taken accordingly. There is no way this would be admitted in this kind of interview as it would do more harm than good.

On the striker front, do not forget that we still have Brown and Adebayo, who shout be back fairly soon (Adebayo a bit longer term). Adebayo up front alongside either Wells, Yates, Brown or Hamidi is an exciting prospect.

It’s opinions at the end of the day. Adebayo is a class above in my opinion and would do very well in league one.
Likewise, Yates and Wells (when not playing a lone striker role) would also come good.

Think I agree with you on most things bbb buddy except GS. The Board have made mistakes in the past few seasons and as CEO he takes the wrap but he's 100% luton and was there , working for free in our darkest days to secure our survival. We went from NL to EPL so impossible not to get a 'bit' carried away with that too but I think he's kept that mostly in check. I'm proud he's our CEO. I know you feel really different and that's fine by me.

I get that that can be frustrating, especially when you're relegated by a few points or goals but it is what it is. We're not that club.

I'm just relieved he managed a quick check there was no threat after his initial celebration, and then satisfied there wasn't, carried on the celebration. At least he had the wherewithal to check at all, but would prefer he does that first, and then celebrate! Stay switched on!

Don't sigh MG mate. It's a very valid observation. Note I said I was happy he had the wherewithal to make the check. The little nudge, ie where there's room for improvement, is that just make that check first. Happily there wasn't Northampton player bearing down on the clearance who was in a position to fire the ball into the back of the net. Try to resist reacting with sighs to constructive observations. Any area we can improve needs to be encouraged, not sighed at.
