A double relegation, a club spiralling out of control on the pitch and a complete mess in terms of recruitment. And we're melts

If we're going down the name-calling route, I could say people who are not expressing concern or asking questions are clapping like deranged seals as the LTFC bus heads towards a cliff. But I won't. Because it's unhelpful

The same 'melts' who have given unequivocal support both on and off the pitch, now dare to complain after the worst failure in our history (last season) and already seeing 2 defeats in August in Div 3

Give us a reason to be cheerful as far as the football is concerned

We lost a game we probably should have won against a team that will probably be in the top 6 this season. But for a couple of superb saves by their keeper we would have won. I’d suggest that there wasn’t a lot in it but that we were the better team. But they scored and we didn’t so they won (and deserved it, because they scored) and that’s football.

It’s a team in massive transition after the owners and employees made a mess of last season* - the first time they’ve cocked a season up for about 12 years (since paul Fcukle). There’s a difference between being concerned about things not clicking quickly enough and calling our owners crooked - specifically the accusation that money is being pocketed instead of spend in the multi millions on players (that probably aren’t worth it) despite being in the third division - when they so very very clearly are not. Some of the bullsh!t here and more so on Facebook is astonishing. And it’ll be the same people crowing about it and banging on about feeling fine when we get promoted (be that this season or in 5 seasons time).

*and that mess was because they were too loyal and probably too sentimental about players and staff that had delivered all the joy of getting into the premier league, and the fun we had when we were there. It was uncharted territory. With hindsight they should have cleared out many of the players before last season, but nobody was calling for that last summer. No one. So it was hardly the cock up of the century. At the end of the day, if mikosso’s shot had been 1yd to the left and it ended 1-1, there wouldn’t be this level of hand wringing at all, even if we’d have played worse. But It wasn’t and so be it. Goes back to never to high and never too low.

I don't give a flying fuck where they finish this season to be honest, you make them sound like Real Madrid.

Massive transition?? Don't make me laugh. Going from NL to PL was a massive transition not fucking giving up and willingly let them drop 2 leagues straight after.

Lastly, who the fuck are you to call people melts? Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to it. Not everyone shares your views so get over yourself. The FB lot are a different breed, so don't associate them with this board.

I can play that game too. If Wigan had taken their chances they'd have probably got a point (although we were good 2nd half). If Wimbledon don't gift us a goal that's 2 points dropped

As for accusing 2020 of being crooked, I have not seen or heard that. That is plainly ridiculous but don't make the mistake of assuming anyone who is critical is part of that obviously stupid crowd

As for the 1st bad season since Buckle, finishing 15th would have been bad. Getting relegated was an utter fuck up of mountainous proportions. There's bad and then there's bad

It's also very easy to dismiss concerns as people having the arse cos we lost a game of football. On the rise, when we lost, that did not happen. People can see where this is going and the trajectory we are on. Something has to change. If there was a plan, an identity, an obvious path we were going down in terms of recruitment and style, I think people would be more forgiving. There doesn't appear to be any of that and complacency and a bit of hubris has completely gripped the football side of the club

As Brko's Bicycle said earlier, this already feels like the first 4 seasons in non league. The fans cut the club slack, rightly so, as they were new and we were in an almighty mess. 2020 did brilliantly from 2013 onwards. But, now, we have blown ond of the strongest positions in our history and there is little excuse for that

But we stuck with it…

Denial ain’t the answer to our problems. Ignored them last season. Deny anything is up again and we’ll end up the same. How many windows or matches do we give it?

Indeed JD.

We saw what quality looks like today in Colwill.

We had quality like that in Aasgaard and he went over a month ago.

The insistence of playing Walsh and Clark as his replacement AND in the same team is beyond me.

The game has moved on, the Colwill type player is what we seriously lack. We seem scared to keep the ball, its a lack of quality.

Yes, a huge week ahead. Plenty of time to reset but by the Plymouth game we need to have fixed.
