    Chong, Mengi,Nakamba,Brown

What's going on with them ? Still genuinely injured, disruptive or on their way out ? All are on massive wages for division 3.
As for Brown, he would surely rip up this division, but never seems to get a mention any more.

Brown has had two long term injuries in two seasons.
Be surprised if he comes back the same player (although that might be a good thing!)

Presumably, you didn't listen to Bloomfield's interview after the game?

All injured except Nakamba who played an U21 game recently. Maybe he’s not featuring as we’re trying to offload him and don’t want him to get injured. His knee means he can’t train every day.

Chong and Mengi ‘on the grass’ Monday according to Bloomfield. Looked like most of the team yesterday had been ‘on the grass’ too, or maybe something even stronger, especially McGuinness.

Utterly bizarre performance from McGuiness. Looked like a nervous kid that had never played at such a high level before.
I wasn't sure when he first signed. Thought he was a poor man's Matty Pearson. Then as the season progressed he seemed to stup up, looking like an OK player. Then yesterday happened.....

I am no expert on fitness but it looked to me as though he hasn't recovered fully from the virus that he had during the summmer. He looks as though he is still "drained" and physically doesn't look the same player.

I was surprised to see him start yesterday after playing the whole game on Tuesday. I expected Lonwijk to play instead of him in a position where he looks far more comfortable than he does out on the left.

Having said that, we have a team of highly trained medical and coaching staff who know far more about these things than I do.

That last “line” has been used repeatedly Outsider, but perhaps it’s simply untrue.

The Trust podcast suggested the formation you do, and likely all of us would have picked the same.

Clubs have too many “qualified” people meddling with team selection, looking at the bench again, stacks of analysts and fitness staff who wouldn’t have existed when we had a Pleat, Moore, Harford, Kinnear, Still and early Jones.

MB picked the wrong team at West Brom and clearly did yesterday. But was it his decision alone?

He has been left with an unbalanced squad, none of us know why. Again does he want different/more but it’s not happening. I see Tovide played and scored yesterday, what happened there?

He spoke even yesterday about nobody new coming in before Tuesday, when clearly we are desperate for creative additions particularly with Wells a doubt. He also let slip in one of the interviews that we can only play Wells when he is fit, before correcting himself. Did he mean Wells has to be managed all season, I hope not.

Does MB make all the decisions like I always imagined Pleat or Kinnear did? Who really has the final say on transfers?

I can’t see MB meeting a Steve Clarridge in Fleet Services and negotiating a potential move. Not can I see MB negotiating with a Leicester to swap out Steve Thompson for Oakes, Linton and cash.

It’s true that many clubs have these teams of so called experts but in our case I genuinely think our fans would have picked a better team yesterday.

He’s totally lost as a wide CB. Needs to play in the middle of a 3 or in a 2, or not at all. Even allowing for that though, he was so bad yesterday.

Bloomfield has said what is going on with all of them, though admittedly a bit vague on Nakamba

                  I must have missed it.

                  Point stands though.
