Really don't know why we sent him there in the first place with the injury situation we had at that time. If he was good enough for us to pay a lot (by our standards) for in the summer not sure why we gave up on him 5 months later in probably our most important half a season for 30 odd years.

Just to put it out there... Marvellous was 'released' by us at the end of last year so this means nothing other than his loan has finished

            Neither of these.

            According to BBC.

Other loanees set to leave are Ryan Giles, Tyler Morton, Noah Ohio, and Anass Zaroury.

Hull's website - a very "low key" reference to him as an "aside" within a comment about Carvalho.

            Loan Players

We would also like to thank the players who have represented the club on loan, whose deals expire on 30 June.

Netting on debut in the season opener against Norwich City, Liam Delap scored eight times in 32 appearances for the club. Becoming an England Under-21 international during his time with the Tigers, the 21-year-old missed a significant amount of the second half of the season due to a knee injury, but returned in April to produce strong performances, netting against Ipswich Town.

Fellow England Under-21 international Tyler Morton enjoyed a second season in the Championship, featuring 41 times in all competitions and scoring his first senior goals with three. Netting against Rotherham United and Swansea City, the midfielder’s finish against Norwich was nominated for Goal of the Season.

Both Morton and fellow Liverpool loanee Fábio Carvalho received the EFL's Young Player of the Month award during their time with the Tigers - the latter producing an almost one-in-two goal ratio during his loan spell. Scoring his first Tigers goal away to Sunderland, the 21-year-old netted nine times in 20 appearances. His finish at home to West Bromwich Albion was assisted by Ryan Giles, who featured 17 times in black and amber, including 11 starts.

Anass Zaroury scored vital goals against Southampton and Leicester City in his 12 appearances, while Noah Ohio also netted important finishes. Scoring winners against Rotherham United and Coventry City, along with a late equaliser against Ipswich, the Netherlands Under-21 striker made eight appearances.

Was on loan there and did have an option to purchase him for 4.5 million but it seems they decided against it then. 1 would imagine it's because there is a alot of interest in Alfie Doughty and perhaps Giles will get the game time if Doughty is sold on for more money 💰

I doubt that they would sign him until they appoint a new manager. I hadn't realised that Billy Sharp and Aaron Connolly were both there although they have both been released as well. Considering the way Connolly was being talked about not so long ago, his career seems to have gone downhill somewhat.

The interest in Doughty doesn't explain why Hull have decided not to take up their option to buy. I would guess they have decided he is not worth 4.5 million quid.

I would imagine Boro will be all over this and if they offer what we paid then he goes there.

Unless the reason for his poor form for us will be addressed over the summer and we change formation.

He said that it had originally been reported as "an obligation to buy". It was quite quickly changed to "option".

You refused to accept that it had ever been reported as an obligation which is why your link proves nothing. As per.

According to the internet archive the Club have only ever reported it as an option.

Football league world or whatever source Nick used is not the source of truth and would be dismissed as rumour and speculation if it was used against anyone other then Cuba (or perhaps me).

From the official and only reliable source it has only ever been an option

Yes, it was "reported" as an obligation.

Then changed and confirmed by the club.

                                            That's all.

Now cuba is trying to make some big deal of it . . . as he usually does.

I think Cuba's point is from when the deal was confirmed it's always been an option. Whether an obligation was discussed prior to confirmation is irrelevant really.

Otherwise we'd be saying we signed whoever that foreign lad was in January as it was reported we signed him
