I don’t need to read the report again.

Firstly it’s an estimate that HMRC think the country should be producing in tax revenue that they aren’t getting . Don’t see anywhere in the report the evidence they have to back it up so hardly definitive.

Secondly let me remind you what you wrote “ Most of that is the very rich not paying what they owe.“

The report alleges ( can’t be bothered to look again ) but from memory @ 5% of the “uncollected “ tax is from the wealthy.
So no proof and even the revenues estimate is 5% of a made up figure of 59b.

5 wealthy people got prosecuted for tax evasion last year…agree shouldn’t be any and without doubt some are getting away but if you think that fixes the problems of this country then you are very mistaken. Getting the wealthy to stay as Burnham said yesterday is much more important.

Finally my cost estimate on ileagal immigration was purely welthfare and almost certainly underestimated. If you add in all the other costs associated it’s probably double that.
