    I don't think the margins would be there for Adidas to offer us anything directly, not unless our shirt buying fanbase grows significantly or we somehow established ourselves in the Premier League.

    I once saw an interview with a Watford's commercial person in charge of their kits and he explained the difference in dealing with Adidas and dealing with Kelme and the minimum amount of shirts or jackets etc they would have to order with Adidas Vs Kelme and how that bumped up the retail price with Adidas.

    That's another reason we would be reluctant to go with Adidas (even if they wanted to deal with us), as our retail department fears having surplus stock, as we saw during our successful years on the pitch with Umbro when we didn't order enough and the shirts were sold out in common sizes for long periods.
