It's ironic that Futcher joined City. He was on his way back to Luton to travel to play against City for the league cup tie at Old Trafford, when he had his accident, unaware that the game had been put back 24 hours due to planned power cuts in Manchester on the scheduled date. The programme still showed the original date.

It doesn't seem possible that it's almost ten years since he died.
