The thing is, is that needs some context. It is clearly written in an anti-Labour/Starmer way - for example NHS waiting lists stands at 7.22 million but that is actually down on the previous government.

Also, what was the record over the previous 14 years and how does in compare and what were the policies that the previous regime put in place to bring us to such a state?

But surely even more important, is what are we going to do about it? What policies can we have that will rectify it. To me an obvious point is to pay people more, then they will have more money to spend, then they will increase VAT receipts and profit margins to companies - who can then afford to employ more people and so the welfare bill comes down.

This is in stark contrast to a Cameron led conservative government who thought that the best way for society to benefit is to cut wages, this stagnating the economy because no-one (apart from the super rich) has any money to spend. Firms then have to reduce staff increasing the welfare budget. But because the economy is in a mess those relying on welfare have their income slashed so make poor health and lifestyle choices. This results in more people requiring hospital treatment increasing waiting times etc. And of course some choose a life of crime because they cannot afford the basics or are so disillusioned with life and society, which in turn adds pressure on the prison and justice system.

So, as you can see, there are spirals of positivity and spirals of negativity. And yet we chose to focus on the lowest common denominator and blame all out problems on those who are different from us in how they look, speak, and think. We need unity and positivity not negativity and division.

Live justly, love mercy, perpetuate generosity, walk humbly.
