Radio 5 are reporting that, in addition to Shabana Mahmood who is mentioned in that report, both David Lammy and Yvette Cooper are saying that Keir Starmer should set out a timetable for his departure.
Apparently, there are now 71 MPs saying publicly that he should either go now or set out a timetable for his departure.
I think that it will come down to whether Wes Streeting can gather enough support to move quickly before Andy Burnham can become an MP or Angela Rayner can settle her tax position with HMRC. Now has to be his best chance of getting the job if he can get the required level of support.
I'd like to be a fly on the wall in tomorrow's cabinet meeting.
