It's why I stopped practicing Buddhism on a daily basis. Like most if not all beliefs the initial label, in my case Buddhism, is just a starting point in terms of description. Under that label there are loads of different interpretations. The specific strand of Buddhism I followed is based on placing the Lotus Sutra at the top of all Buddhist teachings. And I learnt that I was allowed to test the ideas I was taught about, and to trust in my own personal findings rather than simply accept what I was taught. I think that is such a brilliant thing to instill in followers of any faith, and all too sadly lacking in many followers of different religions. Anyway the point I am getting to is that Buddhism is a faith based belief system, meaning followers must have faith in it in the absence of definitive proof. All I know is that the Buddhism I practiced enabled me to replace pessimism with optimism. I stopped practicing because I thought it might all be some sort of spiritual placebo, psychosomatic. And I still think it might be. But if I find myself lost at any point I do return to it and it's helped me a few times like that, usually resolved whatever is wrong in about a week. It's a great belief system but as previously mentioned some of it I found virtually impossible to achieve on an ongoing basis. I still think it's the best belief system I know of though. It doesn't require a belief in a god, Buddha isn't a god, it's a state of life which is open to anyone to manifest at any moment, and it's the highest possible life state.

2. Luton to get a fantastic new stadium. Nearly tick.
3. Luton to win during that mental 3-4 result against Cambridge, as documented on here during the match.
4. Luton to win in possibly the most mental game I have ever seen, the 2-1 against Oxford. I was chanting away throughout the game stood in G Block. At one point the bloke in front of me turned round and told me to shut the fuck up I carried on under my breath. The rest is history.
