And I don’t want to fall out with you, of course. But there’s absolutely no way Jones isn’t antisemitic. I respect that you don’t do social media, but some of his posts shouting down jewish people’s concerns have been appalling.
No-one is at their best on SM, of course, but Jones’ attacks on jews overstep the mark too often and with too much vehemence to give him the benefit of the doubt.
The majority of surveys I’ve seen quoted put figures at 70-85% for UK jews as zionist; even if we go with 70%, that’s still obv a clear majority.
And I agree, it’d be good to know what’s acceptable wrt Israel criticism that’s broadly acceptable. In the meantime, as ever, I guess the broad advice is “Don’t be a dick about it.” (Not that you have been, obv.)
Getting back to the original issue on the Hatzolah ambulance attacks, it really is as likely to be the left as the right who caused them. It’s another reason to be concerned about SM, where these prejudices find a home and fester on all sides of many topics.
