For me it was on the train back from West Hampstead after we'd won the League Cup. All of a sudden the carriage fell silent as it sunk in what we'd achieved. I thought about my dad who'd first taken me to KR 19 years earlier, who'd stopped going in the early 70's, but encouraged me and my brothers to stick at it, knowing that full well he'd be jumping around the living room, pleased as punch for the Town, and pleased as punch for the town. And as pleased as punch for his sons. And the historical family connections we have to the club.

I have to remind myself of this every time I've left a game early this season (more than ever) and the away games I haven't bothered with. Yesterday I was even - out loud - considering not bothering any more after a season at Power Court. But of course that's just performative nonsense. We might just win twice more at Wembley this season, and I'll be there for it. And so will all the new name negative posters (if they even actually exist).
