Fully agree the government should stay out of it.
All of my daughter’s class were predicted at least one to two marks higher than what they achieved. And they all came out of the exams saying the paper was easier than the mocks. Stupidly in my eyes the exam boards lower the grades if they deem the paper to be easier than previous years and if a lot of students pass. It’s ridiculous but it’s exactly what happens and sounds like what has happened this year
