It's the ideology which is at the root of never ending problems. Because there are so many who follow it, it becomes a significant problem even if it's a minority who use it to justify their hatred of non believers. 1.8billion followers, even if it's only 5% who are extremist, that's a massive problem.

It's not Muslims, it's Islam that needs to be rejected. It is supposed to be perfect because it's the word of God and you can't criticise or challenge it. Sorry but straight away that is a massive red flag.

There have been attempts to reverse the abandonment of blasphemy laws by those with an Islamist agenda and very prominent and respected people in legal circles have been increasingly raising this as an ongoing concern.

There are organisations that are proscribed in the middle east who are allowed to legally operate in higher education establishments who are targeting students and trying to radicalise them.

There are extremists in every prison with the run of the prison. Also targeting vulnerable people in there and aggressively trying to convert/radicalise them.

The extremists are relentless in their aims and methods.

It's a religion that is open about wanting world domination.

It is a religion that falls into violent conflict in most of the places around the world where it is present. And the other places without outright violent conflict with non believers it is guilty of human rights abuses against foreign workers or it's own people, with eye watering inequality.

The trans Saharan slave trade was only officially ended in the mid 20th century, having started in the 7th century with approximately 3 times the number of victims compared to the British slave trade. Both odious but something to consider next time an extremist tries to con you into hating your own country.

There were about 1.6m Muslims in the 2011 census. This was more than doubled by the 2021 census.

The number one boys baby name for the last 2yrs running is Mohammed. A man they are taught is the perfect human, someone to respect and emulated. A man who married a 6yr old and who had sex with her when she was 9yrs old.

This is a religion where a woman is raped can be stoned for adultery.

A religion where a woman's testimony is worth half that of a man.

None of this is good or should be supported or apologised for.

I read the Quran about 22 years ago. It teaches that anyone who helps Muslims is wasting their time unless they convert.

It teaches young impressionable people to hate non believers.

If you try to leave the religion the punishment for that under Sharia law is death.

You can't practice Christianity or build a church in Saudi Arabia.

This is not a rant. It's just inconvenient facts for Islamic apologists to consider.
