    Ok, thanks, that’s interesting. I went to Hitchin Road Junior school and we used to hold our school sports days there (This would have been in the late fifty’s and sixty’s) and went there a lot in the seventy’s. As I say, only ever knew it as People’s Park, but the memory may be playing tricks.
