Derby away for me. I missed the City game.

I agreed to do a walk across Scotland - Morar to Montrose in the Ultimate Challenge - before the WBA game early-ish in the season. We were safe at the time and doing quite well so I thought/hoped the end of the season would fizzle out. We lost at WBA and also the next 6 or 7 games and dropped right into the mire.

I couldn't let me mate down so I did the walk, setting out on the Everton 5 1 home loss day. 120 miles later and it was Sunday morning after the City game and I didn't know the score. We came across a telephone box in the middle of a forest so I called home - it was 6.30am and it took ages for an answer - my sister.

I asked her the result and she hesitated as she was waking up. She eventually said yes you won.
Unconvinced I asked her who scored?
    Err, err....a foreigner she said.
    Was it Raddy?
    Err, Err...
    ANTIC?
    Err, err..
    Oh ANTEESH
    Yes yes ANTEESH
    Get in.

Tha put a spring in my step for the last 60 miles to Montrose.

Mr J.C. Lomax having been called upon to give his opinion upon the proposed formation of a Town Club, said he was most emphatically in favour of a proposed Luton Town Football Club - 11th April 1885
