And a short term signing isn't likely to offer us anyone good enough. And for me, I'd rather we come through this injury spell using the players we have like Hashi and JJ. Alfie played quite well in LCB against City, so I can understand why he went there yesterday. Unfortunately he didn't have JJ supporting him at LWB yesterday, and he and Chio didn't strike up any kind of understanding.
That's my take on it.
But the main point is the balance and wieght of this argument is ridiculous. It's just a moot point for me, signing a backup CB from a Championship side would not have made a jot of difference against the best young English centre forward there is.
