Sefton rd we had an outside toilet scrubbed and white washed,It was nice when we moved to Sonning ave,Dad fought for that house,he didnt want to live on an estate, bet the people who lived on the right hand side of Sonning,were not happy when the coucil built the house,When wemoved there i thought all those house had been bought by the tennant who lived there,
Where i live now is still called LARGE COUNCIL ESTATE,but I would say over 70 percent are owned by the tennants,in my area only 3 are still council,they have high rents
