Wish I'd got in touch with you before Februarys History presentation, I did it on the shops on Linacre Road in the 40s to 60's but struggled to find photos of the shops. I remember lots of the names of the shops as I lived in Bowden Street from birth till I moved in 1971. It went well though and many of the members added to the names of the shops. It was entitled Employment opportunites in the 49's and 60's so Richmonds, Lewis's, Sturlas, Johnson's and Vernons etc were also mentioned. Most of the factories and bigger employment sites have disappeared and many of the over 70 shops on Linacre Road have been converted into flats. Lovely to see your photos although they are much later so many of the shops have gone.
