The young lad sitting next to the drum holding a cornett; is Cliff Vincent, becoming an accomplished soloist, and later the band's conductor and also the Great Crosby Comrade's Band conductor.

His father was James (Alf) Vincent was also a band member and the chairman of the council in 1930 - Vincent Road is named after him.

The band was established c1895, they played at the council grounds/Hatton Hill Park and other Merseyside Parks, what was known as 'Music For The People', later becoming ' Music In The Parks.

The building in Beach Road known 'The Band Institute' belonged to them, where they practised and held concerts.

The men in the top inserts could possibly be Rimmer/Bradley-Bradley/Rimmer.

The band played at Goodison Park on 1st April, 1933
