I’m trying to establish any connection between Charles Irving Wilson who died in 1940 with the Charlie Wilson in this photograph. I suspect the Charlie in the photo might be a nephews or son of the earlier C I Wilson.

The photo shows the wedding of Charlie A (Albert?) Wilson and Mary Teresa Johnson.

Mary Teresa was the daughter of John Johnson and Mary Teresa Halsall of 89 Sefton Road.

Is this Charlie Wilson a relative of the older Charlie Wilson, deceased in 1940?

In my dads working days ‘old’ Charlie who died in 1940 was followed by young Charlie, who inherited the firm. I wonder if the Charlie in the wedding photo is young Charlie, but can’t quite nail it.

As far as I can see, old Charlie had no children so young Charlie was more likely to have been a nephew.

The lady on the right in the photo is Mary Teresa Halsall / Johnson of 89 SeftonRoad. Norma knew her younger brother, Phil.
