From Businessweek: Brookings Institution forecasts that between 300k-500k fewer children will be born in the US in 2021 because of the pandemic and related crises, more than total deaths from the pandemic. Then of course the impact of those “missing” babies ripples for many decades.

What would remain to determine is how many of those births are gone for good or deferred.
