Info on this old LC Smith

I inherited a hammered LC Smith recently, and I am trying to understand the few markings it has. The only top side markings are two line “Hunter Arms Co. Fulton, New York” on the flat rib between the barrels. The only serial number was found on the for hand stock, 174806. Side plates have no engraving, only LC Smith. This gun is in extremely good shape. Barrels are marked Royal. Any knowledge shared would be appreciated Steel

It does appear to be in good shape, but of course should be checked by a qualified double gun smith before use.
It is a F grade made prior to WWI
Royal Steel is a fluid steel typical in composition to that used by all the U.S. double gun makers of that era.

A Research Letter would provide the exact DOM and possibly to where the gun was originally shipped

Mike your hammer gun was made in 1914. Lower graded hammer guns like yours were sold by hardware or sporting goods stores and there would be no Records of where they went.
Royal Steel was the only barrel material used until the end of production.
