LC Smith 10 gauge

I am looking for information on my gun
Serial number 70690
What year this may have been made
Also in need of left side hammer
One of the earlier style( no 16 in 15-17 style)

Tim, your hammer gun was made in 1899 and would be what I call a 6 pin lock (they look like pins but one is an axle for the sear the others are screw ends polished and rounded.) It would have the Type II hammers. Finding a hammer could be difficult and sometimes you can find the whole lock on eBay. A lot of these older hammers were serial numbered to the gun.
