What ever you do don't click on the spot that says "Don't show me this next time"
You can't add pictures after that. Is there a fix to this? I use my iPhone not a computer.

The bottom barrel is very interesting, and the pattern is found on a few pre-1900 No. 0 & No. 1 guns. The "rough forged tubes" were paired, wired together, and shipped in a barrel of 50 or so. In the rough, the pattern is very difficult to decipher and it may have been that Hunter Arms either got a deal on the tubes, or they slipped into the shipment somehow.

I think this is Bro. Davids 1897 A1 marked "Laminated Steel' which it is not

Drew, that set of barrels are on a 16 ga hammergun made in 1898. I also have an "O" and "OO" from 1903 and 1907 with the same pattern

Bro. Drew, that set of barrels are from a No.1 that is engraved like a A1, which I though it was until I saw the checkering. Still a neat gun.

Thanks Tom & David. We've now documented Bernard Ribbon on hammer and hammerless No. 00, 0 & 1 dating from 1892-1907.

I was taught by my Grandpa Buck (Hamlin) around 20-25 years ago. Since then I’ve been on hiatus, I am using the family recipe
