As promised in my previous post on the stuck snap caps, here are some pictures of the new to me 1904 4E and the letter from Jim. Jim turns these letters around incredibly fast and does a truly fantastic job, we are very lucky to have this, thanks Jim.

I have had a chance to shoot the gun at clays twice now and it works as it should. It has F/F chokes and can certainly reach out if needed. I will replace the recoil pad with a period correct Silvers pad and take the white spacer out of the grip cap, but other than that it really has not been messed with. The gun feels like it's new and had not been shot much.

Happy Holidays,
Bob

Bob, very nice gun and good shooting with it.

Very nice gun and hard to find too!
Ken

Thanks David. She is a “keeper”.

Thanks Ken. You are not kidding, it took a very long time to find the right one at a realistic price. There were more 5s and even A1s made than 4s, so it is hard one to find.

Great photo composition, including those vintage items and patches!
Quite well done and I wish you good shooting always.

Thank you Dennis. I also find the associated shooting memorabilia be very interesting and fun to collect. I try to find an original catalog of the same time period to go with each of my shotguns. Not always easy or inexpensive.

Good shooting to you also.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Bob
