I have a Eagle Long Range that letters, is stamped on the lug, has the 3" stamp but no reinforced loop. From my observations it is common for a Long Range guns to lack one or more of the Long Range identifiers. I would guess many of the LR higher grades were made by taking a stock gun and modifying to become a LR. Many I have seen show that the Long Range stamp was over stamped on the lug over the engraving.
