FAQ" Drew, not all No. 2's had the v's on them. I have two that do have them and one that doesn't. The one that doesn't is a 30" with a Research Letter. Same with No. 3's have one with and one without, a 28" that has .028 choke. Both that have no bevels are from 1896 and 1897. The later one do. Don't know when the stopped doing so. Another note, on all L.C. Smith's the barrels do not always touch at the muzzle. Some do show land but these are not the ones. Message Thread: Help with "Have my barrels been cut?"
