There were 16 20 gauge Field Grades made with 27" barrels. Yours being a 1/4 longer might be questionable and like stated a letter would certainly tell you what it came with.
Does this gun have twin ivory beads, and a recoil pad, sounds like it could have been ordered with the Trap Gun options.
