Thanks Rev Doc Drew, Mike, Tom, and Jason for your thoughts. I have seen the picture trail on pads. It's very helpful.
A couple of details that may be of benefit:
The current LOP is the standard 14" and 1/16" give or take. Minus 1/4" of the butt plate plus 1" of repro Jostam Hy-Gun, or Hawkins 25, puts me at somewhere just North of 14 3/4". My ideal LOP is between 14 3/8" and 14 5/8" on a double trigger gun. This is great, but a summer, "no field coat" for sure size.
I also have a 1906 grade 2E HOT w/browned Nitro barrels which has a Pachmayr 952 1". This is one of my favorite Elsy's to shoot. The reason that I chose the 952 for that gun is that it is a fantastic pad, and it looks a whole lot like a silvers with a brown leather cover.
I guess that my sticking point is... Do I replicate what I know works for me, or try something different in a repro. If the Pachmayr came in a Silver's orange color, it would be "end of story".
Which ever one I wind up with, I'll post some pics for sure.
So right now, I guess the Hy-gun repro and the 952 are the strongest contenders.

    ...Any other thoughts?

    "Safe Breaking"...

    Bill
