Hunter Arms would fit any brand rubber pad available to the shooter at the time a gun was manufactured; so a Silver's pad is not your only option. The Jotsom pad was certainly available when your gun was manufactured; and I believe the Hawkins pad was also, so there are indeed other period options. Hunter's repair shop regularly fitted after-market rubber pads of all makes to include such brands as the White Line pad by the 40's (but not the Pachmayer White Line Pad); but personally, I'd use an early period pad to maintain the period look of your Smith gun.
